Apply Now! Technovation Girls Challenge 2021 ($10,000 Prize)

Technovation Girls is a free technology-based program for girls ages 10 – 18. 

Working in teams (of 1 to 5), girls find a problem in their community and build a mobile app to help solve it. Along the way, they develop their collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Technovation Girls will take 30+ hours to complete (we recommend allocated about 12 weeks to finish) and is completely free. 

Technovation Girls students create solutions to community problems using technology.

Eligibility:

Any girl or young woman (ages 10-18) interested in Technovation Girls is eligible to participate. We welcome all transgender people and also those who identify as non-binary or gender nonconforming and want to be part of a female-identified environment, including student participants.

To join our competition, a girl must create or join a team on our online platform, have a parent/guardian sign the consent form and meet the following Student Participation criteria:

Registration Opens: October 12, 2020
You can start working on your project any time – the earlier the better!

Official Season Launch: January 11, 2021
We recommend starting in January at the latest so you will have a full 12 weeks to work on your project. Submissions open today.

Registration Deadline (Students and Mentors): March 12, 2021 at 23:59 UTC.
The last day to formally register a team.

How to Register:

Each student or mentor who would like to participate must register.

Steps to register:

  1. Go to https://my.technovationchallenge.org/#/
  2. Complete the steps as prompted – you will need to provide a valid email account
  3. This will take you to your dashboard. There, you will have a list of items to get done before you can join a team as either a student or a mentor.
