Apple has responded to the demand of the iPhone 5 that has seen the firm sell its pre-order stock in just hours.
Apple spokeswoman Nat Kerris told AllThingsD:
Pre-orders for iPhone 5 have been incredible. We’ve been completely blown away by the customer response.
iPhone 5 pre-orders went live at 12:01 AM, but customer demand meant Apple’s first pre-order stock batch sold out in around an hour. The three major US carriers, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint, saw their stock being depleted several hours later.
The iPhone 5 will launch on September 21st in the US and UK.
