WizItUp K12: Your child’s mobile ‘lesson teacher’

Recorded in “Nigerian” accent and sporting Nigerian names in the examples,  Vericore Technologies Ltd, an IT firm aimed at helping kids with e-learning will officially launch a new app, WizitUp K12 Learning app which is already available for download on the Google Play Store.

WizItUp boasts of over a hundred cartoons, songs, ryhms, 12 educational games and over 2,000 practice tests in subjects for school pupils in Kindergarten, Nursery and Primary classes to help with subjects like; Mathematics, English and Sciences.

To use the App, parents are required to go through a registration process which first requires the parents’ personal data, then some information about the child;

After downloading the app from Google Play Store, the parent then registers by filling in their name, choosing a user name and password plus a valid e-mail address.

The second part of the registration is for the child. The parent will be required to fill in the name, gender and class of the child after which the app is open to the user and ready to use.

In order to start a free lesson, the user chooses from any of the three subject available; a list of topics is immediately dislayed on the screen for the user to choose from, download into the app and start learning.

There is more to the App though, one can only download for free from the available topics displayed after they chose a topic to work on. To unlock more topics, games, cartoon and practice tests, the user will be required to pay about $8.4 (or N3,000).

Payment for more fun activites and learning packages can be done via the user’s Google account, credit card or by putting in a licence number which the user will get after payment has been made to bank.

WizItUp is a fun and interactive way for children to learn more intelligent things at the impressionable stage of their lives instead of being left to find things out for themselves. Replacing human teachers with virtual teachers and the hitherto limited scope of a child’s learning with an all in one approach, the WizItUp app is on to something really good.
