Tecno Boom J8 is coming and it debuts new UI called HiOs

Tecno Mobile is soon to unveil a new smartphone which it calls #TheNextBigThing after the Phantom 5. That device is none other than the Tecno Boom J8.

The Boom J8 is a successor to the Boom J7 launched in 2015.

Considering that the Boom J7 was a dedicated music phone with some noteworthy music capabilities, it’s pretty easy to expect that its successor – the Boom J8, would also be a music dedicated phone with better music capabilities.

Check out the music capability of the Boom J7 compared with other phones

So right now I’m wondering, would this new device be coming with;

Better Hi-Fi audio,

Larger…….

The Boom J7 came with a nice earpiece that compliments it’s music experience, maybe the Boom J8 will have a powerful headphones to go along with it?

Who knows? However even though I’m not sure if the device will be coming with any of the above features, we quite expect it tho: there are a few interesting features I’ve been told would be on the Boom J8. All of which I think stand the chance of making this device a well sought after device once it’s released

What do we know?

The Tecno Boom J8 is coming with an all new user interface (UI) called the HiOs. It overlays the Android OS that runs the phone in such a way as to give the Boom J8’s software interface a look and feel that’s distinctly its own. Going forward, other Tecno devices will carry the new HiOs user interface. Some functions of the UI include;

A Memory Cleanup Function which helps to cleanup excess and scattered phone memory to help free it up for better phone performance.

A smart phone manager (Hi Manager), a streamlined interface and Hi screen record

I expect that the Hi screen record would work like the screen record function found on the Huawei Mate 8 by recording activities carried out on the phone. This feature will sure be helpful in recording webinars, Skype calls and even how-to-videos to show someone else how to use an app and other phone functions.

Finally, I can also tell you that the Tecno Boom J8 runs on the Android Lollipop OS but largely customised to its unique HiOs. Why didn’t you guy get the Marshmallow?

Anyways, for more updates on #TheNextBigThing after the Phantom 5, be sure to keep checking this website in coming days.
