Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Review

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro which emulates a variety of traditionally PC functions is 12.2 inches wide with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels equaling over 4 million pixels, the galaxy note PRO 12.2 is a smart solution for all your in and out of office needs. Running on the Android kit-kat OS, it comes with a 3GB RAM and internal memory of 32GB that is still expandable. Even more, unlike other Samsung Galaxy devices that run only two applications on the Multi window function, the NOTEPRO impresses by running 4 windows simultaneously.Samsung Galaxy Note Pro

The Note Pro has an 8-megapixel shooter rear facing camera with an LED flash. It also has a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video chatting. However it is a tad difficult to tap the shutter button without shaking the tablet, if you plan on doing much shooting,

The Note Pro comes with a 12.2-inch display with a preloaded variety of enterprise-friendly software, including remote PC capabilities, Hancom Office (a Microsoft Office-like publishing suite), e-Meeting, and WebEx. With a shift to the pro and enterprise audience, Samsung’s Galaxy Note Pro may be after Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Surface tablet market. These intentions are plausible but looking at the device, although it’s surprisingly light, weighing a mere 753 grams with just over .3 inches thick its slenderness and weight make it more than manageable.  Also containing the same processor as in the 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1 with a 1.9 GHz Exynos processor, with easy opening Apps  and switching between apps using the device’s multitasking button is usually pretty snappy.

However, not too many people can operate the Note with just one hand. It might require being placed in the crook of both hands for firmer grip. The Note pro comes with Samsung’s signature S-pen tucked in a slot on the right side, where its charging port, microSD and microSIM card slots are also located. It is really convenient for writing out notes, illustrating ideas, or just using as a navigational tool with four home screens and two having the usual app icon, one is an array of top stories from Flipboard, and the fourth is a Windows 8-style grid of rectangular app spaces populated with up-to-the-minute information from your inbox, suitable to have a quick glance on your agenda for the day and equipped with a calendar.

The Galaxy Note Pro is a commendable tablet, even if it doesn’t quite live up to its PC functions, it appears portable despite its large 12.2-inch screen, and its performance is still good by today’s standards and with such a large display, Samsung was also able to fit in a full, traditional layout keyboard onscreen. One that works and feels like a physical keyboard. The volume on the PRO 12.2 is loud enough to feed a group in a typical-size meeting room. Perfect for making presentations, photo editing. Of direct benefit to strictly business users will be the KNOX security application and Samsung’s eMeeting app, which allows you to connect with other people and whiteboard. Commendable is the 9500mAH battery life which promises 13hours of internet usage; translated to Web browsing, email correspondence and working with documents. An almost strictly business device, odds are that, if the 12.2 inch device is used maximally for gaming and other entertainment purposes, the battery would sooner than later go flat.

It comes in that easy grip faux-leather plastic back we first saw on the Note 3 and we can tell you for free that the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 may not meet your complete PC needs but it is a sleek and arguably the most multi-functional tablet in the market that is worth the extra thousands of Naira, if you can afford it.
