Review: Wiko Getaway Smartphone

Are you looking for a smart phone with a premium feel, great hardware and software specifications, and that won’t burn a hole in your pocket? Well French mobile company Wiko has just the thing for you. It’s called the Wiko Getaway.

Straight out of the pack, just by the way it looks, the device gives a good first impression, but let’s get into the details and see what makes this baby special.

Design

The Wiko Getaway has a 5inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 by 720 at 294ppi and a color range of 16 million colors which gives a great viewing experience. To ensure screen durability, Wiko opted for Coring Gorilla Glass 2 as the material covering the LCD screen. The sides of the device are covered by a metallic trim that goes round the device and houses the sim trays, power on and off button and the volume rocker. The back cover of the device is made of attractive faux leather that gives the device a premium look and feel.

The back cover is non-removable so it uses sim trays on both sides. The device can work with either one micro-SIM and one nano-SIM or one micro-sim and a micro-sd card of up to 32GB. Also included with the device are sim adapters so you can use a nano-sim in a micro sim slot.

The dimensions of the Getaway are 143mm by 69.5mm by 7.2mm and it weighs just 133gm so it’s is quite comfortable to carry.
