Last week InnJoo introduced three smartphones into the market, a move that was less expected. The company further pulled another surprise by announcing a smart TV.
The devices announced are InnJoo Max2, Max2 Plus and InnJoo 2. The Max2 and the Max2 Plus is expected to play within the mid-range segment while the InnJoo 2 is the flagship model.
Here we will be taking the wraps off the InnJoo Max 2 and Max2 Plus and giving you our first impression.
Both devices are similar in design and specs except for the battery capacity, The Max 2 has a 5-inch screen with battery capacity of 4000mAh while the Max2 Plus has a 5.5-inch with 4600mAh battery. The design of both packs are the same except for a slightly noticeable product label and battery rating.
Opening up the boxes we see the phone, neatly packed in a box, completely different from the regular InnJoo box that have housed their various smartphones.
Opening further, we found the regulars: The USB cable, headphone and the charger.
It is difficult to ignore the fact that InnJoo has improved greatly with the designs of their smartphones, these two devices are catchy to the eye. We will always mention that InnJoo has a history of copying its designs from the iPhones.
The Max2 which sits at 5-inches is very handy however it is kinda bulky and heavy, same applies to the Max2 Plus which is 0.5-inches bigger. The devices are actually crafted, sit well in the hand you will hardly even think they are big.
They are both made of plastic with a metal trim wrapped around the screen. The 13MP back camera comes with a dual flash and this is expected to brighten up subjects when taking pictures.
Front camera sits at 8MP and has a Fill flash. Fill flash is not the same as the regular flash but used during outdoor shoot especially on a sunny day to brighten up shadow areas on the subject when the background is brighter.
Volume button is on the LHS while power button is on the LHS. The three navigation keys: Back, Home and Menu keys located just below the screen.
USB/Charging port is at the bottom while the headphone jack lies at the top of both devices.
Battery cover is removable but the battery is irremovable. SIM tray is located on the side after removing the back cover.
This can be removed by pushing the pin into a tiny hole right beside it. This makes removing or changing SIM cards easier than when you have to pull out the SIM tray with the pin.
Both devices are dual SIM, run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and powered by a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor. Internal storage on both devices are 16GB with 1GB RAM each. Both have 13MP back camera and 8MP front camera.
