Mobile app debuts on iOS and Android with over 1,700 hours of programming as House of Faith marks historic milestone in African entertainment
House of Faith, Africa’s premier faith-driven entertainment ecosystem, today announced the global launch of FaithStream, the continent’s first premium international streaming platform dedicated to high-quality, culturally authentic faith-based content. The announcement was made
at a launch event held on Friday, 27 February 2026 at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria. The event was attended by entertainers, faith community leaders, content creators, and media representatives from across Africa and the global diaspora.
The FaithStream mobile application is now available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The platform launches with a catalogue of over 135 titles comprising more than 1,700 hours of programming, including feature films, scripted and unscripted series,
documentaries, and audio content, all curated to celebrate Christian faith and African culture.
The launch addresses a gap in global media, specifically targeting the over 700 million Christians residing across Sub-Saharan Africa and the global diaspora whose need for premium entertainment have been largely unmet.
“Today marks the fulfilment of a vision that God placed on our hearts to build a platform where African Christians can enrich their faith with quality entertainment,” said Kunle Falodun, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of House of Faith. “Through FaithStream, we are intentionally
addressing the challenges facing African Christians in the entertainment world. We are creating a trusted sanctuary of faith-affirming content for Africans at home and in the diaspora. Beyond access, we are empowering faith-based creatives with training, technical skills, and global distribution. Our mission is to advance a Christ-centred voice within global media and
entertainment.”
FaithStream is a free platform, wholly supported by donations and grants, designed to remove economic barriers from access to spiritually enriching content. The platform offers a mobile-first experience optimised for African markets, with offline viewing capabilities, multi-device compatibility, and subtitle options to serve the diverse linguistic communities that comprise
Africa’s Christian population. Its launch content library draws on partnerships with acclaimed African filmmakers and production companies spanning Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, including the premiere of FaithStream’s first original production, Love and Porridge.
“FaithStream is built on technology designed for African audiences and infrastructure,” said Hakeem Condotti, Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of House of Faith. “Our goal is to help African faith voices reach young people where they already are: online, on mobile, embedded
within popular culture. We are offering an alternative — stories of hope, redemption, and purpose to a generation hungry for meaning.”
The launch places House of Faith at the intersection of Africa’s growing streaming market, estimated to be expanding at 37 per cent annually, with over 260 million African households having access to television signals and more than 600 million mobile subscribers. House of Faith is a donor-supported not-for-profit organisation operating as a comprehensive
faith-driven entertainment ecosystem. Beyond FaithStream, the organisation encompasses production studios in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, a pan-African distribution network, podcasts and audio content, publishing, and live events. This integrated approach ensures a continuous pipeline of quality content whilst creating job opportunities, skills development, and economic empowerment for Africa’s faith-based creative community. Over the next decade, House of Faith projects the creation of more than 13,000 jobs across Africa’s creative economy.
