Pioneer AI researcher and long time engineer at Google, Geofrey Hinton last week resigned his position from Google. He also warned of the dangers involved in developing Artificial Intelligence technology. Hinton said he quit his job at Google so that he could speak freely on the dangers of AI which his research contributed greatly in developing; a part of his work he says he now regrets.

Earlier, TechCity reported that a group of tech leaders including Elon Musk signed a petition to investigate Open AI but Geofrey Hinton did not sign that letter. He openly states what his fears are, instead.

The same week, Google rolled out a new “verification” product for Workspace and Legacy G suite users. Beat the FOMO and get your Google blue tick if you haven’t yet. Details of that and Geofrey Hinton’s comments on AI are in our news update!
