Twitter has just made an update to its app on android devices allowing a small percentage of users to launch Periscope by just clicking a “go live” button, whenever they’re about to compose tweets.
Users who have Periscope installed on their devices will automatically launch Periscope when they hit the “go live” button. While users who don’t have Periscope installed are redirected to the Play Store, so they can download the app.
This improvement when rolled out for all Twitter users is sure to help Periscope better compete with Facebook’s video streaming service ‘Facebook Live’ which as opposed to Periscope, was designed to launch right from the Facebook app since its release.
