Score! Kobe Bryant Unveils $100m VC Fund

Former Basketball MVP Kobe Bryant has just announced a venture capitalist firm with his partner, serial entrepreneur Jeff Stibel worth $100million. After ringing the New York Stock exchange bell yesterday, he revealed that investing was one of his passions and that he hopes his legacy will be for investing rather than basketball. As reported on CNN Money, Bryant Stibel (name of VC firm) is 3years old, has been involved in 50 transactions and already invested in 15 companies including Alibaba. The firm is open to invest in technology, media and data companies with a focus on those in sports and wellness. Both Kobe Bryant and Jeff Stibel are equal partners of the firm and will be responsible for different aspects of the business; Kobe handling leadership, inspiration and storytelling while Jeff will deal with the technical stuff like operations, direction for companies and growth.

His followers on twitter are taking him up on his new (ad)venture by giving advice and acquainting him with the rules of basketball as they may or may not apply in tech and VC funding. The BryantStibel website is minimalistic and swaggy, all at once. Check it out!

P.S: Happy birthday, Kobe!
