Samsung Galaxy S8 is coming on the 29th of March

We’ve been waiting for more details on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and instead of making a show of it at the Mobile World Congress, the company released a teaser which I didn’t quite get at first.

When I watched the video, my reaction was like, “Err… What just happened?” That’s because it doesn’t reveal much. In fact, I had to tell my boss to explain what was going on. I was looking for juicy details on the device and I was very disappointed as the video just showed “this is a phone” then, “this was a phone” and some other bants before the official launch date showed up.  I guess Samsung wants to leave you begging for more. Well the Galaxy S8 will be launched on the 29th of March 2017 and the event will take place in New York.

From the video, Samsung doesn’t exactly show off the Galaxy S8, but it does hint at the front design that we have been seeing. From what we can gather,  the Galaxy S8 will feature a massive screen-to-body ratio.

Samsung Galaxy S8Already, rumor has it that the Galaxy S8 will feature wireless charging, dual-camera setup and waterproof design. The latest and most powerful Snapdragon 835 should power the phone, two versions are coming and both with a curved, edge display, a new Samsung Bixby assistant is in the plans and a lot more. We also hear that the device has a competition already – the LG G6. Samsung also confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will undergo a lengthier and more thorough battery-testing process just to make everything safe.
