Samsung Announces Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 Smartphones

Samsung recently announced two new devices, the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. These devices have a real cool premium look especially with its thin metal constructed frame. Yes!! It has a metallic construction and will sure satisfy the urge of the youth and younger generation because its price won’t be rocket high. I hope these devices will find its way to Nigeria and fight the Infinix, Tecno and others that have found their way into the hands of mostly the younger generation.

The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 devices are very slim and have similar designs but the A5 has a more powerful specification than the A3, that doesn’t mean the A3 is a loser. The A5 is larger and thinner at 6.77mm while the A3 measures 6.99mm.

The two models bear a 5MP front facing camera and are expected to pack a handy social tools. The cameras will be a delight for social media enthusiast and selfie lovers as Samsung decided to add interesting features such as Wide selfie, Rear-cam Selfie and Beauty Face. The selfie technology includes the ability to automatically focus on a person’s face and even an animated gif mode

Both the Galaxy A5 and A3 runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-core processor, 4G connectivity with features such as the Ultra-Power Saving Mode, Private Mode and Multiscreen, extraordinary Super AMOLED display and Adaptive Display technology that delivers clearer images with deep contrast and better viewing angles for more vivid, colorful content in virtually any environment, even under bright sunlight.

Samsung Galaxy A5

The dimension of the Samsung Galaxy A5 is 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7mm, while it weighs just 123 grams. It packs 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM with a 16GB of built-in memory, which can be further expanded upto 64GB via a microSD card slot. Battery life clocks at 2300mAh battery. The display is a 5 inch Super AMOLED HD, 13MP main camera with LED flash, 5MP front-facing camera and powered by Android 4.4 KitKat

Samsung Galaxy A3

The Samsung Galaxy A3 is a little less on the specification when compared with the A5, it is a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display phone powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU. RAM size 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 64GB with a microSD. There is a decent 8MP rear camera coupled with 5MP front-facing camera. The dimension for the A3 are 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9mm, with a lighter weight at 110.3 grams with battery power sitting at 1900mAh

Connectivity options for both devices include WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC….

Samsung says these devices will be available in select markets including China starting in November 2014, we hope Nigeria will be included among the select countries.
