Review: Get best discount, deals and special offers using Offerica

Offerica is a customer loyalty app that enables users get the best discounts, promotions, deals, special offers and rewards from their favourite brands. Not only does this app serve the interest of consumers, it also helps brands and businesses reach customers about special offers in an effective and efficient manner.

Basically offerica is here to bridge the communication gap between customers and businesses. Customers love to get discounts and offerings but there is always a challenge of how to get them. At the same time, businesses also find it difficult communicating promotional offers to customers and this results in a continuous vicious cycle.

Offerica app serves businesses, Retailers, hotels, supermarkets, pharmacies, eateries and other service providers by allowing them publish their offers on the app. Customers need to download the app to enjoy the offers. The app is very simple to use, and it offers advance booking feature of offers and discount. However there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make the app more user friendly.

A first time user downloads the app, then sign up with relevant information which include Name, phone number, email address, user name and password among others. After the registration, a verification code is sent to your email which will be used to verify the account. Once that is done, you are now set to begin to enjoy offers and discounts.

Offerica app gives the user a location advantage as it works with GPS, thereby synchronizing user’s location with the app to provide promotional offers within range.

Apart from the location based offers which works with the GPS, users can also search for offers via the ‘Search offer’ tab in the menu. This pulls up a result placed under three categorized: Retail offers, Consumer Offers and Redemption.

Value of loyalty points and discount offering is displayed under each brand promotion in the ‘Retail offers’ category, also included are brand name, locations where the promos are available, the booking status as well as expiry date for each offer.

On first trial, I got a 10% discount and 10 loyalty points on KFC chicken. After I booked the offer, a congratulatory message popped up telling me to go to stores before a specified date.

The ‘Consumer Offers’ category displays various consumer offers and permits users to scan barcodes to win loyalty points. When users tap on the ‘Scan’ button on each of the various consumer offers listed, the camera is launched within the app and users can scan barcodes to get the points.

Offer details such as product on offer, the offer, offer last date and value of points are also listed.

There is also a ‘Brands and Points’ tab in the menu which displays value of points offered by each brand. Brands currently on the platform include KFC, Dominoes, Mr Biggs.

Every offer booked by the user can also be viewed under ‘My account’ section. This displays the brand name, Date of booking and the offer last date. You can also check the offers that have been availed alongside total earning points and redemption.

The Offerica App also has the tablet version which consists of two features namely “Merchant store” for stores, business outlets and “Consumer merchant” for consumable goods.
