NOVITEC ROSSO presents the new California T N-Largo

The Ferrari California T is one of the world’s most sought-after roadsters, NOVITEC ROSSO, the leading refinement specialist for sports cars from Maranello presents the spectacular N-LARGO carbon-fiber wide body version for the open two-seater. This conversion also includes three-piece high-tech forged wheels with diameters of 21 and 22 inches, as well as engine tuning that bumps the rated output to 491 kW / 668 HP. As a result, the thrilling sports car reaches a top speed of 325 km/h.

What is even more spectacular is that the new NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO has an overall width of 202 centimeters and thus eleven centimeters wider than the production version. The new concept is the logical continuation of the success story of the exciting N-LARGO version of the Ferrari F12.

The bodywork conversion kit is made from extremely lightweight yet high-strength carbon fiber and was developed together with the German designer, Vittorio Strosek who is one of the pioneers in the development of wide body versions and unrivalled expertise in this field.

The widebody version of the NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO is even more extreme and dynamic, and displays a rousing wasp waist thanks to the new wider front fenders which adds six centimetres to the front-axle width  and the fender flares on the rear axle which is eleven centimetres.

The three-piece NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO NF5 NL alloys are manufactured using high-end forging technology. The wheels of size 9Jx21 on the front axle are mounted with size 255/30 ZR 21 Pirelli P ZERO high-performance tires and transfer the steering and braking forces to the road. It also comes with a ventilation slot integrated into the rear of the new bodywork components on either side which purges the hot air from the carbon-ceramic brake discs and the brake calipers.

The new rocker panels create an aerodynamically and visually perfect transition between the widened wheel arches at the front and rear. They have large air intakes that redirect the relative wind to the rear brakes. The producers didn’t end there as the NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO has a distinctively styled face. As a result, a new front bumper was developed to suit the wider front fenders.

The rear bumper was also designed as one part and blends flawlessly with the N-LARGO fender flares. The integrated diffuser provides the perfect backdrop for the four tailpipes of the NOVITEC ROSSO high-performance exhaust system. It also increases downforce on the rear axle and can be ordered with a clear-coated carbon-fiber finish. The aerodynamic-enhancement concept of the NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO widebody version was optimized in the wind tunnel and is rounded out with the new rear airfoil. A subtle rear spoiler lip is available as an alternative, both of wwhich are available in a clear-coated carbon-fiber version.

The spectacular appearance of the widebody NOVITEC ROSSO N-LARGO with large forged staggered wheels that accentuate the wedge shape is further emphasized by the ride-height lowering of the sports car. The NOVITEC ROSSO sports springs lower the ride height of the Ferrari by about 35millimeters, which also has positive effects on the handling thanks to the lowered center of gravity.

N-Largo

To make it easier to navigate speed humps or ramps of underground parking garages or parking decks, NOVITEC ROSSO has developed a hydraulic front-lift system for the California T. The front end of the car can be raised by 40 millimeters at the push of a button in the cockpit while the front end reverts to its original position automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h or at another push of the button.

What is a car without a powerful engine? NOVITEC ROSSO offers powerful engine tuning for the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 of the California T. In the most powerful version of the N-LARGO the engine specialists mobilize 491 kW / 668 HP at 7,400 rpm and a peak torque of 871 Nm at a low 4,750 rpm. The output increase by 79.4 kW / 108 hp and the boost in torque by 96 Nm over the base engine is achieved with the help of two NOVITEC ROSSO N-TRONIC modules with meticulously calibrated mapping for the engine management system, and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system.

With an engine of that nature, we are not surprised at the performance of the California T which sprints from rest to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed increases to 325 km/h. Of course, the engine tuning not only benefits the performance figures: the even more spontaneous throttle response and the further optimized in-gear acceleration fascinate in everyday driving.
