Nokia Unveils the New Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch Display

Nokia 6625Nokia promised it had a big announcement on July 23, 2013 and, technically, it did. The company unveiled the Lumia 625, which spots one of the largest displays on a Windows Phone device to date. The big screen device is equipped with a 4.7-inch screen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card, a 5-megapixel camera, a VGA front-facing camera, a 2,000mAh battery and Nokia’s suite of Windows Phone apps including HERE Maps and Nokia Music.

The device is mainly going to be targeted at emerging markets, though its larger display kind of makes us hope it lands in some other countries like the United States and will make its debut in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America during the third quarter of this year.

The device will be available in yellow, orange, green, white and black and customers can swap out shells to change the color on the fly.
