Looks like Android N will have more support for VR

According to Ars Technica, the second Android N Developer preview that was released last week comes with a couple of references to VR. These include a “VR Helper” and “VR Listener” app respectively as well as permissions that let users know that a certain app will run when using applications in VR mode.

It is however not very clear how these features will work.

In addition to the “VR Helper” and “VR Listener” app features, Android N also comes with new emojis, a split-screen mode to enable users multi-task on a tablet as well as a 3D Touch-style pressure sensitivity.

At the moment, the Google Cardboard app is Google’s only VR product, however several sources have stated that Google is currently working on a smart-phone compatible headset as well as a standalone VR headset.
