Infinix begins Hero3Logy teaser campaign for the Zero 3

Infinix is in the news again and this time around I think the company is beginning to mess with our decision making prowess. About ten days ago, the Infinix Note 2 was officially introduced into the market and of course going by the specs sheet and the social media build up that accompanied the launch, Nigerians are willing to buy but unfortunately I checked Jumia this morning and the device is yet to be available.

Whether this is a deliberate delay tactics or some logistics challenges is what we cannot ascertain but we know that another Infinix device will launch soon. The smartphone manufacturer began a new teaser campaign tagged #HERO3LOGY which will culminate in the official launch of the Infinix Zero 3 on the 15th December 2015.

The “HERO” prefix is always used as a teaser for the ZERO series, the flagship smartphones from Infinix. Previous campaigns are THENEXTHERO which was used as a teaser for Infinix Zero and the ZERO2HERO ushered in the Zero 2.

What should we expect?

We do not have much information about the device yet but according to rumours and speculations, the Zero 3 is expected to have high end specifications. We also expect a high resolution camera since there is an emphasis on camera and video capabilities, in addition we also hear the camera pixel will be the highest ever seen on an Infinix smartphone….. This means it will definitely be higher than 13MP, maybe it will be capped at 20 Mega Pixel.

I am also expecting a full HD display (1080p) this time around, anything short of that will be a fiasco because we didn’t get the full HD on the recently announced Note 2.

My take:

Now that two devices will be released within the two weeks interval, some sort of confusion will definitely set in as the popular questions which people are already asking include: Which should I buy? Should I wait for the Zero 3? Is the Zero 3 better than the Note 2?

I think Infinix is trying to make people become Oliver Twists, long throat or simply “Phonicate” by releasing a new device two weeks after the launch of the Note 2.

All I am thinking right now is a scenario of a young man who is about to get married to his beautiful girl but is asking himself questions and contemplating changing his mind after driving around Lagos and seeing loads of beautiful young ladies.

Infinix please Christmas is in the air, not the best time to PHONICATE.
