GTBank Launches *737* Fund Transfer short code service

Guaranty Trust Bank  Plc (GTBank) which is arguably the most innovative bank in Nigeria has launched another innovative service that allows customers transfer money from their bank accounts via their mobile phone by simply dialing the *737 short code. Now I think we really fewer reasons to go the bank, maybe we don’t even need to anymore.

According to the bank, this service is safe, simple and convenient. Users can now transfer funds by dialing the short code 737 with details of the amount and NUBAN (10 digits) account number of the beneficiary. So simply put, if a user needs to make a transfer to a GTBank account number, all you need do is to dial 7371AmountNUBAN Account No# for example 73711000*1234567890# from your mobile number registered with the bank. For transfer.

For transfers to beneficiaries in other Bank’s, customers should simply dial 7372AmountNUBAN Account No# e.g. 737210001234567890# which is then followed by an authentication process that requires customers to punch in the last four digits of their GTBank Naira MasterCard.

There is no doubt that GTBank has been leading the pack in terms of leveraging technology to provide easy, better and more convenient banking solutions to their customers. The 737 short code service has been available to GTBank customers for a while now, enabling easy airtime Top-Up directly from the customers bank account by dialing 737Amount#

The 737 Transfer service is only available to GTBank customers via their mobile phone numbers registered with the Bank and has minimum transfer limit of N1,000 and a daily transfer limit of N20,000

I hope this service will somehow reduce the massive crowd that invades some GTBank branches in Lagos and some other part of the country.
