GE now accepting applications for the 2017 Garage program

Ever wanted to learn how to manufacture a product?

Here’s your chance! General Electric (GE) is now accepting applications for the spring 2017 Garage program. The Garage program was created by GE in 2012 to reinvigorate America’s interest in invention, innovation, and manufacturing. And in 2014, Garage went global with three weeks of workshops amidst a fully equipped fabrication lab in Lagos, Nigeria, at GE’s regional headquarters.

This program is geared towards accelerating the impact of Nigeria’s most promising entrepreneurs. Working with a variety of world-class instructors, investors, technical experts and partners, participants will build a culture of collaboration and innovation.

The Garage also provides access to advanced hardware as the selected participants will directly interact with manufacturing technologies like 3D printers and laser cutters. Also a mentorship network will be provided, supporting entrepreneurship with an aim to drive growth across all sectors of the industry.

The exciting part is that both the registration and the program itself are free! Yup, absolutely free!

To apply, click here. The deadline for this application is midnight Feb 20, 2017. And the training session for Spring 2017 starts February 27 and ends March 24 2017.

P.S. The program does not fund your transportation, housing and other expenses related to attending this program.
