Blackberry rolls out new android phone – DTEK50

BlackBerry has announced a new android phone – DTEK50. This is BlackBerry’s second Smartphone powered by Android, after the PRIV and it’s now available for pre-orders.

The Blackberry DTEK50 is currently touted as the most secure android smartphone because just like the PRIV, it has a unique built-in hardware security that reduces cyber attacks like malicious apps, scare ware notifications and insecure WI-FI connections, etc. It also encrypts all users’ information, including business critical data and personal data such as pictures, videos and contacts and it also has Malware protection  built-in along with back-up, wipe and restore capabilities. It provides additional software that provides users with visibility and control over how apps get access to personal info or device features such as the microphone or camera.

The DTEK50 comes fully equipped with Android Marshmallow 6.0, an all-touch design with a 5.2 full HD display capable of displaying 16 million colors. The screen is also scratch-resistant as it comes with a specialised oleophobic coating to protect against smudges and fingerprints.

The new Blackberry also has an expandable memory that support a micro SD card up to 2 terabytes. It also comes with a 8MP front facing camera and a 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and a dual-tone LED flash, even in low light.

Blackberry’s latest device has an Intelligent Keyboard that is smartly designed to learn from users and increase typing accuracy and speed. It provides word suggestions as you type and includes up to three languages, letting you flick them into places for faster conversations. It also has the BlackBerry Hub which is a unified inbox with an irreplaceable tool for consolidating all of your messages in one place – whether it’s email, calendar, social or phone calls.
